Meet Rob Smith, Navy SEAL and founder of RESCO Instruments. He’s the only living Navy SEAL watch maker on the planet, and he makes insane watches. This is our Red Circle GMT Date, and yes it’s a little pricey. We are only making 215 of them so it’s a limited run and you get what you pay for in my opinion. And yes PETA, animals were used in the testing process and like Rob said “Brandon was one of them”. This is take “1”. More to follow….

Great book. Great work. Honored to hear your story. How do I get a watch?

I was in class 278 with SOC Smith as one of my instructors through first phase. I always thought it interesting, him running around with a watch on both wrists, of course now I know he was testing them and advertising! Later when I graduated with 280, I wanted to buy a watch from him, but I wanted Swiss movement and a date. He told me it was coming and by the time I deployed he would have it produced. Well, years have passed and I never did buy one. I got out of the Navy for eight years and recently retuned to service. I’m about to deploy and my go to mechanical tool watch has crapped the bed. I thought, what the heck I could finally get the first RESCO with a date. Come to find out it was a special edition. Rob was my instructor, but he also started going to my church in Coronado when I was in third phase (it was weird having him sitting behind me during the service). Later Nicole and I worked together at GMPC’s AWANA club.
